Our family was really sad when we heard that our local hardware store, Oswalt's, was closing. Adam worked here in highschool and his Dad, whom we recently lost, went at least every day. It's just a special place for us. I'm sure many others around here have similar memories. When we heard that our good friends were buying it, we were pumped!

I was so glad that Dana asked me to shoot this "handing over of the torch" type of meeting. The original family that owned this store and then their cousins that they sold it to,were here and then the two families that now own it came as well. Then they prayed over the store and the relationships that will be made and for God to be glorified. It was a beautiful time and I'm excited to see what the Lord will do in this place. It is not everyday that a store will be renewed and renovated not to make the most money possible and to be beautiful but to love people and make Jesus known in the town and community.

I included a few shots of the remains of the newly named, Mathiston Hardware Store. It will soon be renovated and restored to better than ever!
